It’s in Sussex, near Polegate. 2 hours drive from London.

Chestnut tea room sits right besides the castle. In the summer, with the castle as backdrop, enjoy a panini and sandwich with cafe, it’s a great start of your visit.
Elizabeth Garden has a long yew tree walk leads onto Sundial & Rose Garden.
This and the six other sundials found in the garden are a reminder that the castle was home to The Royal Greenwich Observatory from 1946-89
The maze is fun to navigate, will eventually lead you onto Folly & Garden in the distance.
